I had a thought the other day. I have made several amigurumi things lately. One is a tiny bear and the other one is a doll with braids. I stuffed them with leftover quilt batting, but the fibers show through the holes in the crochet. So I got to thinking. What’s stretchy enough to stuff with batting and yet won’t let the fibers show through? Hmmm!

I have some tights that I refuse to wear anymore. I wondered if they would work. So I cut pieces the same size as my crocheted pieces and sewed them (Yes, you can hand sew them together.) and stuffed them. Then I stuffed those pieces down into the crocheted pieces. Voila!!! It works. No more batting sticking out of the holes of your crochet.
